UFUGAJI WA MBUZI NA KONDOO

KANUNI ZA UFUGAJI BORA WA MBUZI NA KONDOO Mbuzi na kondoo wanaweza kufugwa kwa gharama nafuu na kuishi katika mazingira magumu kama ya maradhi na ukame ikilinganishwa na ng’ombe. Kutokana na umbile lao dogo wanaweza kufugwa katika eneo dogo na pia wanaweza kuhudumiwa na familia yenye nguvukazi na kipato kidogo. Uzao wa muda mfupi unamwezesha mfugaji kupata mbuzi/kondoo wengi kwa kipindi kifupi. Wanyama hao hufugwa kwa ajili ya nyama, maziwa, ngozi, sufu na mazao mengine kwa matumizi ya familia na kuongeza kipato. Ufugaji bora wa mbuzi na kondoo uzingatie kanuni zifuatazo: i)              Wafugwe kwenye banda au zizi bora, ii)                   Wachaguliwe kutokana na sifa za koo/aina na lengo la uzalishaji (nyama, maziwa au sufu), iii)                 Wapatiwe lishe sahihi kulingana na umri na mahitaji ya mwili, iv)                 Kuzingatia mbinu za kudhibiti magonjwa kama inavyoshauriwa na mtaalam wa mifugo,     v) Kuweka na kutunza kumbukumbu sahihi za uzal
