1. By the use of frequency
distribution, study the following raw data in the family size of 20 families
interviewed was; 3, 2, 2, 4, 3, 7, 8, 1, 3, 6, 2, 2, 4, 5, 6, 4, 3, 4, 5, and

the data by using frequency distribution;

2. The map of Juma’s farm has a total of
600 units both maize and cassava crops. Use the scale of 1:25, 000 and one
square box is 2 by 2 (cm) on the sketch map of the farm.

What is the total area of Juma’s farm in

(b)
What is the area of maize crops, if the area
of cassava has 350 units? Use the scale provided and your answer should be in
km2
(c)
If the farm of Mr. Juma will be
cultivated 11 units of ground nuts in the year to come, what will be the
remained area of the farm that not cropped by ground nuts, when the scale of
the map is changes into 1:30, 000?
(d)
State the importance of map scales for
geographers including you.

4. A racing cyclist covers a
distance of 45km between town A’ and B’ in 30 minutes, if the distance measures
3cm on the map:

Calculate the speed of the cyclist

For how long will the cyclist covers
120km from A’ to B’
(c)
Find its statement scale
(d) Draw
a graphic scale to read 120km
