SECTION ‘A’ (40%)
HUMAN POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT.
Answer only two (2) questions in
this section. (Each question carries 20%)
Qn.1. The world’s population very
rapidly;
a) What are the main reasons for the
rapid growth?
b) How can the population explosion
be restrained?
Qn.2. How is the population structure
of a country affected by…….
a) The standard of living?
b) The infant mortality rate?
c) Migration?
d) Life expectancy rate?

“Migration alone can never solve the unbalance distribution of world
population. Discuss.

What problems are encountered in
providing satisfactory means of employment in densely populated country with
rapidly growing population?

metropolitan areas generate their own population problems?

or Tanzania, describe the pattern of population distribution. In what ways is

by giving relevant examples.

in the economy among the African states”. Frankly, argue for the truth of
the statement.
Qn.12.While
Africa having great potential for H.E.P, but it has least output of
electricity. Substantiate by citing examples from Tanzania.

“Economic development in Tanzania and other countries depends much on
transport”. Briefly explain to support the statement.

“The use of fuel wood as a source of
energy among Tanzanians will continue for many years to come”. By giving
