GEOGRAPHY II GAUGING EXAMINATION-MARCH 2016.

INSTRUCTIONS:                                                                                                                                                                                 1. This paper consists of section A, and B. Answer five only questions.                                                                                 2. Use a pencil for drawing diagrams and maps.                                                                                                                       3. Credit will be given for the use of relevant sketch maps and diagrams.

     SECTION ‘A’ (40%)                                                                                    
HUMAN POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT.
Answer only two (2) questions in this section. (Each question carries 20%)
Qn.1. The world’s population very rapidly;
a)      What are the main reasons for the rapid growth?
b)      How can the population explosion be restrained?
Qn.2. How is the population structure of a country affected by…….
a)      The standard of living?
b)      The infant mortality rate?
c)      Migration?
d)      Life expectancy rate?
. Qn.3. “Migration alone can never solve the unbalance distribution of world population. Discuss.
Qn.4. What problems are encountered in providing satisfactory means of employment in densely populated country with rapidly growing population?
Qn.5. How far is it true to say that metropolitan areas generate their own population problems?
 Qn.6. With reference to either china or Tanzania, describe the pattern of population distribution. In what ways is an unbalanced distribution of population as difficult a problem as over population or under population.
Qn.7. Write short notes on the following,
a)      Crude birth rate
b)      Ageing population
c)      The effect of wars on population structure
d)      Internal population movements
e)      Population policy
Qn.8. “A rapid growing population may be asset or hability” discuss this statement and illustrate with reference to; a densely populated rural areas in the tropics, and a highly urbanized temperate industrial areas.
Qn.9. In what ways do the population problems of developed countries differ from those of developing countries?

Answer only three (3) questions in this section. (Each question carries 20%)
Qn.10. “Agricultural development in East Africa faces problems in pricing system than in farming system” Explain the statement by giving relevant examples.
Qn.11.According to the world economic report of 2014-2015 states that; “The development of oil mining in Nigeria became important economic factor for the growth of Nigerian economy that makes to be the leading nation in the economy among the African states”. Frankly, argue for the truth of the statement.
Qn.12.While Africa having great potential for H.E.P, but it has least output of electricity. Substantiate by citing examples from Tanzania.
Qn.13. “Economic development in Tanzania and other countries depends much on transport”. Briefly explain to support the statement.
Qn.14. “The use of fuel wood as a source of energy among Tanzanians will continue for many years to come”. By giving precise five examples, briefly highlight.

KANISA LA WAADVENTISTA WA SABATO LIWALE MPANGO KAZI WA OFISI YA MAKATIBU/MAKARANI WA KANISA (2015/2016) UTANGULIZI. Idara/ofisi ya karani/katibu ni idara nyeti ambayo inaunganisha shughuli zote za kanisa. Kutokana na wengi wa wahiriki na viongozi wa kanisa au makarani/makatibu wenyewe kutoipa kipaumbele idara hii ni kwa sababu ya kutojua uthamani wake katika ukamilifu wa safari yetu ya kwenda mbinguni. Kazi ya ukarani imeanza toka enzi za kale, ambapo hadi sasa tunapata takwimu, kumbukumbu na taarifa sahihi kwenye biblia (Mfano; Kutoka 1:1-5 n.k.).
